I'm taking zoloft for panic attacks. I'm on day 3 of 25mg. I have severe diarrhea. Yesterday I had a burning/tingling sensation in my shoulders and moved up to my head. It lasted about 2-3 minutes. Today I feel like I'm in a fog. I also have trouble sleeping and occasionally have small pains that last for a second all over my head. I'm not sure if this is worth the trouble. I won't hesitate to continue the medication If I can be sure these effects will go away. My doctor wants me to up my dosage by 25mg. every week and I don't know if this will worsen my side effects.

I take 50 mg a day for panic and anxiety and have for 2 years now. If you have panic attacks anywhere close to the level that I did then you will want to continue to take the zoloft because it will be worth it in the long run. I have not had a full blown panic attack since about 3 weeks after starting zoloft. I felt the same way you did and I'm glad that I stuck with it. Just give it sometime because you won't believe the difference.
