I just started Loestrin also about 2 months ago after previously taking Estrostep (which i had NO probs with). My OBGYN gives me samples and only had samples of Loestrin so i started taking it to avoid paying $60 out of pocket for the Estrostep which they did not have samples of anymore. A few days ago i got what i can only describe as a rash almost poison ivy looking breakout on my forehead that itches terribly, & for the past 2 months have also been driving my bf crazy w/the mood swings, when he hasnt even done anything wrong, like a crazy woman!! I just started Estrostep back on today because I cant take it anymore, so I'll let you know if the switch helps! Has anyone else switched off Loestrin & seen good results?
I have had really good luck with NuvaRing. I just started on Loestrin24Fe and I just started spotting, I don't know if I'm going to continue taking it. I may go back to NuvaRing or maybe on a low dose of Orthcyclen. There are so many choices out there, I'm very interested in the Seasonale products and the new one on the market that will eliminate your period completely...can't remember the name right now. Hope this helps.
I have been on Loestrin for a little over a month. Ever since I started I have had a bizarre rash behind my legs, on my elbows and behind my leg. Although the elbow rash has subsided, the other 2 are getting worse plus I am now getting it in between my breasts (I am a DD cup). I thought it best to call the doctor, who told me they've never heard of this as a side effect and I should go see a dermatologist. I dont want to spend the time or money on going to see another doctor. Any advice?
