I had a bone density test in 2000. Showed I had ostopenia. Dr. Suggested I take fosamax. I have done so 70mg once a week for 7 yreas. The last 3 years I have had lower back pain, pain in knees and hips, bloating, diahreea, constipation, tiredness, developed heart mumur, liver test alt is elevated. I need an attorney. I just stopped fosamax at the direvtion of my Dr. and had a bone density test. I neglected to ask why I was told to stop Fosamax. Well I sure found out when I googled it. I had not heard or saw any warnings on tv(I am not a frequent tv watcher. A computer person.I think the company should have notified all users of Fosamax of the new dangers of their product. Some night I have had to go to bed early due to the back pain that literally went from back through to front of stomach. Unfortunately I have a high pain tolerance, otherwise I probably would have gone to energency or contacted my Dr. immediately. I have been suffering with the above problems for several years. I just thought I was getting old. I am 69. I have been off Fosamax 2 weeks and some of the back pain is diminishing and bloating. I can get up in morning and not feel 100yrs.old. Hopefully more of my symptoms will be gone soon. I am a correct weight and have been trying to exercise at least once a week, but due to side affects from pill It has been difficult. I would not take Fosamax again or any other bone pill if you paid me 1 million dollars. .Bev
