I've been on Lisinipril for 4 months now, only 5 mg, but my bp has got worse. Also I wake in the night feeling panicked and heart racing and I can hear a sound like a wasps nest in the ceiling (its there in hotels as well as in my own bedroom). I don't know whether to blame the pills.

This sounds like me. I keep hearing a ringing like a faint church bell and I checked all over the house for the source. Then I experienced it last month on vaccation in a hotel and knew, it must be something else. I also have a constant high pitch sound in my ears. I have been on this med since Feb, starting at 20 mg, noticed in May hair falling out, anxiety, depression, cough (right away) and just general shakiness, insomnia and heart pounding. 5 weeks ago I lowered it to 10 mg, hairloss and cough stopped, but the other effects still there.
Today I called my doctor and wait to hear from him, but I did stop the medication this morning and I know finally, that I am not going crazy or am dying!

I took this med for 25 days. I stopped back in February. I still have ringing in my ears, although it isn't as bad as it was in the beginning. I don't think it ever goes away once you have it. I think it is permanant damage to the inner ear. The doctors don't want to believe it is because of this bad medicine, but my hearing was perfect before my 25 day round of hell on this stuff.
