Hello, I can appreciate your post, and I too will contact the med watch site as well.
I have noticed something in particular at this site, regarding this specific medication. Out of curiosity, I looked at many of the other drugs posted here at medications.com, and NONE of them have as many entries as this one, not even the psych medications. Something would seem to be very wrong to create such response regarding this specific medicine, and speaking from my own personal experience, many of the doctors out there do not seem to know much or at least not enough in regards to the side effects many of us are posting here.
In my studies regarding Toprol XL, the main thing that concerns me is the reported 'rebound effect' that often happens when you try to stop using it. Some sources have even stated it can be dangerous to discontinue without proper doctor supervision, and all of them have said it is not a medicine to quit cold-turkey.
I think it is going to take responses such as yours and those of many others to get attention directed towards where it needs to be. I wish you well....take care, Judi
