hey i am 19 yrs old and i have been on yasmin for 2 yrs. Never really thought i had any side effects till last week. I all of a sudden lost some of my sex drive. Since then i have not been myself at allllll. I feel like im crazy. Like i am here but my emotions arent. I feel different around my boyfriend of 2 and ahalf yrs and i feel different at work and at home. I'm just driving myself insane wondering if somethin is wrong with me. The only thing i can think of is my birth control. I also have rediculous anger problems now. I freak out over nothing..start yelling and screaming and crying. I have had heart palpatations and an upset stomach for a few days and it happens off and on..but mostly i just DO NOT FEELLIKE MYSELF ..Have any of you experienced any of that?

I have never taken Yasmin. I am not specifically familiar with its side effects. What are you using yasmin for? All clinical studies indicate that yasmin is NOT effective. If you are having all these symptoms, I suggest discontinuing the use of Yasmin.

I have been on Yaz for a year and I'm having the same symptoms as you, only I have migraines everyday. I'm not sure if I should just stop taking it because I've read that some women have had severe emotional reactions, but at the same time, the bad is definitely outweighing the good here. I've gained a total of 40 lbs. on this medication and my body refuses to take any of it off. The harder I try, the more I gain. I feel your pain and I hope everything works out for you. Personally, my doctor is talking about switching me back to Ortho TriCyclen Lo in a few weeks. Looking at them on this site, versus Yasmin and Yaz, the side effects look a lot less. Of course, that could also mean that the women who are having problems with OTCL just haven't found this site.

Good luck,
