listen to the signs - Zoloft almost killed me
I started taking zoloft about a month a half ago for anxiety/depression and two days later developed a lump in my throat and a dry throat when i breathed, i would feel the air hitting the back of my throat. It was so bothersome but I stayed on the zoloft until about 2 weeks ago I went off it because I felt my anxiety had subsided which it has and everything is fine. I feel good. When I went off it the dryness started going away but not all the way and in it's place the lump continued and still has not gone away. I thought it could be anxiety but I don't see anyway because I feel good and not anxious, only about the lump and how annoying it is. I have GERD and it could be related to that. It can apparantly get worse with the use of antidepressants and progestin, I was on zoloft and the pill. I have now gone off both but still have the lump and some dryness. Has anyone else experienced this? I have heard that it could be GERD but I am confused now that I am off the meds why the feeling has not gone away. I'm going to see my doctor on Thursday.
