ive taken advair for 3 years, ive had a few side effects including: weight gain, pains in my leg, and tiredness. i dont know if these are from the advair or not. i never had these issues before taking it. i really dont know what to do. if im not on advair i have a hard time breathing and have chest pains. Does breathing better out weigh the side effects that it causes??? i have problems with inflamation and advair seems to work well with that aspect. Is there natural alternatives? HELP!!!

I think this is a type of steroid and that does cause weight gain. For the leg cramps, try massage and/or asprin. Massage works really well for several different pain issues.

Hi. Advair also gave me severe leg pains. I work in a restaurant, and over the course of the 18 months I was using Advair, even a four hour shift would put my legs and back in such intense pain that I had to sit with my legs elevated for 3-4 hours to recover and feel able to do anything at all, even walk about the house. I am 51, and thought maybe I was just getting old. I asked my Doc, and she said it was repetitive motion injury. But I stopped the Advair (because I was having panic attacks), and the leg and back issues have disappeared. When I began using Advair, I was renting an apartment that had two floors. The basement rec/room flooded repeatedly, with a lot of mold and mildew being generated, and the rental office would just put in a big fan to dry the carpet: blowing the mildew and mold spores into the a.c. and heating systems, without a doubt. I have since moved, and stopped taking Advair, and I have been just fine.
