I took this drug for a month and started having severe joint pain. I went to the dr and he told me I most likely had rhuematoid arthritis. All the blood work came back normal. Afriend of mine was visiting who happens to be a nurse and asked what drugs I was taking and I was only taking one YAZ. So we did some digging and sure enough one of the rare (1%) SIDE EFFECTS was joint pain. I stopped taking this drug and within a few weeks was feeling much better. I guess I was one of the 1%. Thank god for a thorough nurse looking out for me b/c my dr said the only way to tell was to start taking it again and if the symptoms returned I would have my answer. No Thanks I already had my answer.
