I took this poison in 2004 and still have not recovered from it. I'm not sure exactly why it seems to affect the nerves, but If I was you I would take the wife and see if her serotonin has been depleted.
I believe this stuff bottomed out my Serotonin and caused the nerve related problems for me. Every time I asked if the Levaquin could have caused my problems the doctors would say "unlikely"
The bottomline is I think I might have saved myself some misery had I went and got tested instead of thinking it was something else going on with me.
The meds used to get my serotonin built back up took several months to take affect-- the end result was I had to suffer until there was some relief--not a cure--just to feel better.
Feel free to contact me and I will be more than willing to do whatever I can to keep her from going through what I did.
I think my lack of pursuing this as a reaction to Levaquin may have made matters worse for me...So please keep pushing the doctors to consider this as a cause for you problems. God Bless and Good luck. Kerry
Since it has been a month now since your wife took levaquin, could you please tell me if she is any better? I have had side effects for over a week now, since the day I discontinued this drug. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this ache in my tummy? I would really appreciate any help you may have!
