I have been on about 60mg daily of adderall and I too have experienced terrible, scarie pain, paralysis and numbness wiith both arms, wrists, hands. I don't know what to do or how to get an answer?!!
This is kind of like in a panic attack, only with physical - hurting - symptions

Yes i get numbness in my thumbs too and sometimes my hands and even my legs! this is only when i am "coming down" from it. and everything gets kind of spacey and i become tired and my anxiety starts up really bad, like the tightness in chest feeling and i feel irritated and lose my motivation. the first 4 or 5 hours i take adderall 20mg i feel great! it balances me and fights my depression too and i don't experience my anxiety during those 4 or 5 hours but as soon as it wears off it all comes back...anyone else have that?

I have also been taking adderall xr 20 mg. for 1 year. Recently been suffering with numbness and tingling in my right hand and toes. The tingling in my hand is the most irritating. I see that others have had this issue as well, and wonder if there is anything to be done about it. Has anyone switched medications?

I switched meds. It was not something that I preferred but it was because of my insurance not wanting to cover XR. It was not the best thing. I am a college student who has been using the XR for the past 3-4 years. I experienced a huge panic attack and I did not think that it was related to my med, since this is the only thing I take and I live a healthy life. I thought it was stress and my doctor said it was a panic attack. I was able to switch back from the reg to XR again. this time, my doctor did 15 mg two times a day. before, it was a 10mg, than 5 mg a few hours later, and than another 10 mg if needed. for the past few months I have been experiencing the hands tingling feeling and I think that its the 15 mg getting into my system all at once. I am a psych major but also a bio + chem Degree. I may be studying this way too much, but I think that it has a lot to do with your body weight and how much you take. At least I think that is the problem with my med. I hope that I can figure it out soon, because i don't like this

listen up:
i have been on Adderall xr 20mg. any less of dosage is not recommended cuz you then don't have ADD. you don't need more then 20mg cuz then you could experience serious side effects. this drug gets your pulse racing. careful when you mix it with allergy meds like zyrtec D & caffine -very bad idea. i have low blood pressure so for me works ok. but, yes -i have anxiety. but there are trade offs. i developed tingling on my left pinky and numbness. i had to get on laxipro (depressant drug -20mg) just to calm my nerves that that adderall and my life's day to day stress had added to my self. after 6months the feeling went away and i got off the laxipro (getting off laxipro was strange -had shocks in my head for weeks while weening off). so... now, i still get some tingling sensation in that same pinky on my hand. i'm also on birth control -that also causes some anxiety. btw, if you have anxiety or are prone to getting anxiety -all these drugs will increase your anxiety. but adderall will help you focus where without, your anxiety could get the best of you and thus your work day could go down the drain.
your doctor should be monitoring your heart while on adderall -this stuff has the power to do ... who knows cuz it's not proven -but my fear is strokes. we must be careful not to be too stressed with anxiety while onthis drug. could cause a stroke if the level of intensity is high &/or you could experience nerve shocks like the tingles and numbness i described.

-don't take this drug on weekends.
-don't take it past the 8am-9am hour (in the morning ONLY) -thus you can sleep at night better -cuz it will cause disruptance in your sleep during the evening.
-don't mix it with coffee if you can help it. or atleast make sure your coffee is taken at time you take your pill... and no later.
-drink lots of water or you will be dehydrated and have major headaches as a result.
-don't take if you have high blood preasure or smoke.
-at high points of (12pm -2pm is when this drug peaks) and then goes down around 4pm -if you take it during 8-9am. so take it first thing when you get up.
-it gives me heartburn or i just am prone to indegestion -zantax helps for me.
-europe has mild relaxing pills that you can take to sleep and they help you relax in the evening. look into herbal laxatives for stomach and nerves. all these will help you during any anxiety moment -without or without this drug.

good luck all!!
