Do not stop this drug cold turkey. I am not a fan of Topamax but ...

I need to get off of this drug. I am scared about withdrawal side effects. You take 25mg every 5 days for how long?

How long did your Dr recommend you taking 25mg every 5 days for?

I tapered off the topamax from 50 mg daily, and the night I took no dose I "detoxed" all night. I had the chills, sweats, nightmares, tingling, twitches, and went to the bathroom gallons. When I woke the next morning I thought to myself, "I'm back!" I felt normal for the first time in months.

I was told by my neurologist. That I can stop my Topamax from one day to another. He said that their will be no side effects, but my first day off Topamax I am feeling horrible.

I was told by my neurologist on Friday to stop it cold turkey. He said that their would be no problems. I am feeling horrible. Any suggestions??

i have just quit topamax completely cold turkey and i have dizzy spells and crazy side affects, althugh i am cold turkey i would love to take it again and ween myself off put money was an issue. good luck everyone

Been turkeying for a few days now from 75mg a day, no side effects at all. Except the planned nasty PMS Topamax gave me DIDNT show up :)
