This is all very interesting, but it's all anecdotal! Can you PROVE that Singulair is responsible for all this stuff? What other meds are you all taking? In what doses? Under what conditions? Do you have a family history of [so-called side effect]? Are you under stress? Or are at least SOME of you just hypochondriacs who, reading this stuff, say to yourself, "Say, I get headaches -- sure, it's gotta be the Singulair!" C'mon, now -- hair loss?! I've been taking Singulair for over 10 months, and if I'd been as damaged as you all, I think I'd know it. Without rigourous medical studies to show what is REALLY going on, you lot are just gossipping. This site is obviously trolling for a class-action suit.

i think you would have a different opinion if you watched your own child suffer on this medication. the side effects do not affect every person. it is probably only a small percentage but the side effects, if you get them, are real.

Personally, I am amazed at the number of people who claim they were ignorant of the possible side effects before they or their child began taking Singulair. Does no one read the information sheets the drug comes packaged with?

Thankful for the site. Makes me realize what I am experiencing are side effects -- nothing more sinister than that.

The FoxMulder poster is obviously just an immature trouble maker, best ignored as he has no value here, nor likely anywhere else... poor guy.

Foxmulder --- You should be ashamed of yourself but I doubt you have that capability.
My nephew just died in an emergency room from giving him medication he was allergic to and he told them the drug caused anaphalectic shock. It did and he died. Thats a medical record....

Be careful or the God you probably don't believe in with your attitude towards people - may allow you to suffer a severe drug reaction so that you can learn
a much needed lesson.

Al I have to say to you is Shame on You What makes you think that these people are just out of it so to speak? My husband has cancer and this medicine has made his life H---. So just because it is good for you doesn't make good for others. I take Advair and It is wonderfull for me but not everyone can, in fact a lot of people have died. So maybe you ought to be more careful what you say about people. Juat remember young man everyone is different. plr1947

you need to understand this drug is overdue to be reevaluated by the FDA it has side effects that outway the benefits to alot of people and the side effects are more readily found on websites like these to help people to be better educated. The doctors are not aware because MERCK is worried more about profit than people and lives. Our son took his life on this drug because an adverse reaction on singulair and we as parents are not making this up .The future will unfold the mystery surroundig this drug as it has with other MERCK drug disclosures.God bless the families like us we trusted the pharmacy pamplet and it did not have black box warnings about severe anxiety ,agitation and depression it needs better labeling!

Can you say...it's possible? Seems to me YOU are a bit closed minded. 10months on med. WOW, now that stacks up against a child who's been on it for YEARS! How about you do some research and keep your defensive outbursts to yourself.

My medical, school, and job records read like a textbook example of depression as a result of a medication. I was diagnosed with asthma at age 4. I began using singlulair not long after it was introduced on the market. My use of singulair can be tracked parallel to the onset and increasing severity of emotional problems. There is extensive documentation from many sources of the problem. I have no person or family history of depression and was only on one other medication at the time. I stopped taking singulair when my insurance ran out and I could no longer get a refill. This time co-insides directly with relief from severe clinical depression, which I had been receiving treatment for with little effect. I had been taking singulair for 4 years. I was a "lucky" one. I did not lose my physical life. I did, however, lose my job, 2 scholarships, and my place to live. Not to mention the distress it caused to my family and my reputation. It can be proven that these problems were a result of singulair. Not everyone will experience these side effects, but I certainly did, long before anyone had been made aware of the possibility.
