I started taking Quasense around the end of May , when I first started taking it I was perfectly fine for the first month . Well I came on my period at the end of June which I wasn't expecting because your periods are only suppose to come every three months and I had just had a period before I had started taking the pill. Since the end of June I have been on my period , it stoped for about an week and came right back. I called an clinician and they said for the first three months of the pill your body is getting use to the hormones so I want to know will it eventuall stop soon, or what is going on with my body ,and also is this normal?

Hello.. I'm relieved in a sense to see that you are having similar issues like me. I am on week 9 of the Quasense. I went fine the first five weeks, spotted or had one light period, then all the sudden, as of today, i've had a period for 26 days. It isn't anything like a normal period, but it isn't spotting either. I've gained about 6 lbs since starting the pill, but in all fairness, I haven't had the energy to exercise like I was before. I bought a new multivitamin for women, some iron added, that may help my energy a bit.

I have been on this type of pill for about a year and a half. I started with the real Seasonale for about 6 months. I spotted a bit in the first month or two, but was fine soon after. My MD changed me over to the generic Quasense to save me money after that. At first things were fine, but I soon started spotting much more often in addition to having some major mood swings at the same time each month. I went to a gynecologist who suggested I try Seasonique to stop the spotting. The improvement was immediate! I still had a 3-month supply of the Quasense, so rather than waste it, I decided to use it figuring I would deal with the side effects. I thankfully only have one more month of it left because I'm spotting like crazy and I'm moody. Seasonal/Seasonique is expensive, but this is my health we're talking about. I don't want to play around.

I've heard lots of rumors that generics are never as good as the originals. Not sure if that's true.

Thanks for the advice about the generic. I am on Quasense and it has been awful. I have basically had my period on and off throughout the last 6 months. I was told that the first cycle would be bad but to stick it out but it hasn't gotten better. Maybe I will upgrade to seasonique...

OMG! I am sooooo glad I'm not the only one with this problem, I was beginning to worry! I have been on Quasense for about 6 months and the first month was fine I spotted a bit but then had a 3 day period and was fine. I have now gone through my last set of pills and have been on my period for 3 wks!! It is more than spotting but less than a regular period, I made a Dr app and am getting off this stuff!!!

I have been on this pill for about a year now. It does eventually do its job. And you wont get your periods during the three months. Its actually really nice. I havent had any cramps. I was spotting for the first few months. Then I was very grateful when it actually starting working! I absolutely hate periods just like any other woman I am sure. So I am currently very happy with Quasense.
