i'm glad i found this site. I had fluid in my ear drum. went to quick care and they gave me a prescription for levaquin 750mg. On the fourth day i woke up not able to close my hands. The pain and stiffness in my joints was severe. unable to hold on to anything. I also have pain in every joint in my body or it feels like it. What can i do to get this stuff out of my body? I ache all over. Need some feed back, please help if you have info on this.

Stop taking this immediately if you have not done so already. DO NOT take any Non-steroidal Anti Inflammatory drugs (like Naproxen, Napercin or Aleve). This will compound the problem...I found out the hard way and still suffer daily joint pain, erosion of cartilage in all my joints, permanent nerve damage in my right achilles tendon area a year and a half later. I have heard that Omega oils help leach the drug from your system...you could try a homeopathic health food store for natural cleansing remedies. By the time I figured all this out it was too late. I hope you find relief and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I went on on Levaquin for a Lyme Disease co-infection, Bartonella. Bartonella, inself causes pain. The pain was excruciating. My doctor prescribed a low dose of valium to relax my muscles. It worked. Now I'm pulsing the medication so the pain doesn't build up. This med seems to be the only one that clears up Bartonella, so I hope I can get thorough it.
