i have been taking Yamine for about a month and a half, after being on a generic pill for a couple years. I didnt know if these symptons i was having was caused by yasmine, but now i think it may be. I have been getting lightheaded, blurry eyes, shakiness, hot flashes..almost like a panic attack, and i have become very dehydrated, even though i have been drinking alot of water. I even went to the doctors for these symptons and they still don't have an answer, so i think it may be yasmine.my newest sympton as of yesterday is chest pain. also i feel like my heart is beating fast all the time, and i feel fatigued way too often, which is causing me to eat more, becauase i am starving way to often, and if i don't eat i feel like i am going to collapse. Also my sex drive has gone to non-existant- is that common? I workout all the time, and eat pretty healthy, so i don't know what else these symptons could be coming from. Is anyone else experiencing these sympons?

I have been on Yasmin, and recently switched to Yaz which is a newer, lower dose estrogen than Yasmin. However, Yasmin is pretty low itself. I have been on 3 or 4 different pills and this is the only one that has not given me side effects (moody and irritable, water retention, weight gain). This pill is simply a low dose of hormones that we already have in our bodies. These symptoms don't sound like anything that are a result of the pill. It almost sounds like you have an issue going on with your thyroid. Have you been back to your ob/gyn? did your doc run any tests? Can you go to another doc for a second opinion? You may even want to try a naturopathic doc. They look at things from a holistic perspective and they may be able to dig deeper to find out the true root of the problem. Sometimes M.D.s don't take the time to really investigate the problem.

I have been on Yasmin since January. I have loved it comparatively to the other BCPills I was on. I have noticed I get the hot flashes, too. And I've noticed that once I get back into the routine of working out (I travel a lot for owrk so my schedule varies) - I am immediately hit with extreme exhaustion to the point it just hurts to get out of bed....and then it's followed by extreme insomnia. My OBGYN says it's not related but I have never had these issues before starting Yasmin. Also, a nutritionist told me yesterday if you combine Yasmin with Vitamin C, you could be altar Yasmin's effectiveness. My doctor never told me this. On TheMedicines.net, there is a very long list of things you should not mix with Yasmin. I'm really bothered my Dr. never told me these things or ever thought to ask.

I have been taking Yaz for almost a month, my breast are enlarged, my appetite seems to have decreased as well as my sex drive, it is non existant as you say. I have read the side effects and it doesn't list that, however whenever you altar your body's chemistry things are going to change. These are hormones already present in our body but we are taking them to make a change in the chemistry, each body will react as it is uniquely designed. To say it isn't the pill would be a little naive.

OMG YES!!! Today I almost passed out. I ate so much food becaust I thought my blood sugar was lo. Still I did not feel any better. I am a personal trainer, I did not like the idea of going on the pill but it has helped with my pms. However Yasmin makes me feel weak and my heart also beats fast all day even when I am sleep. I feel like some1 has a foot in my chest when I am sleep. I take my pill at night around 11 I do sleep better but it's so hard to wake up and and I cant even make it thru the day. I will go off of it next month...

Also, please note: you do not have drsp. in your body... This is the hormone that makes your body react that way.

You need to go to the Physician and check your potassium level, see package insert for Yasmin.

I just finished my pack of Yasmine Saturday. I have been to the Doctor for dizziness, extreme fatigue, diarrhea, vomitting, high anxiety, chest pains, aches in my arms and legs and shortness of breath. After several doctor's visits they couldn't find anything wrong with me. I also feel like I have to eat immediately...as though I haven't eaten all day! Thank God I found this site because I will NOT PURCHASE another pack of Yasmine!!!!!!

I have also been very dehydrated and absolutely no sex drive! No matter how much water I drink it isn't enough. However I did take Yasmine in June and stopped taking it because I missed days. I experienced HORRIBLE migraines! I hope this helps:)
