One of the benefits of Loestrin24 is shorter periods. For most patients by the 6th cycle the period will average about 2 1/2 days in length. Some patients will become amenoric meaning they will cease to have a period. The 24 active pills can make the endometrium extremely thin and there may not be anything to shed during your placebo pills.

If you have missed pills in your pack take a pregnancy test to make sure. If you are a consistant pill taker then don't worry. Count your blessings that you don't have to have a monthly period!

I was taking Loestrine 24 Fe for about 5 months. I started my first pack with a regular period. The second month i was spotting a lot and then in the third month i was getting a light period for three days twice in the month. The 4th month I had my first period as scheduled in the beginning of the month and then after that my period stopped completely. I was feeling nauseous also and vomited around three times. About three or four pregnancy tests came out negative. After seeing my doctor, I decided to stop the pill. I don't think it's worthed having these symptoms and having my period stop. A month later after stopping I still don't have my period and I keep feeling nauseous and I'm getting moody with my husband a lot.
