A lot of patients who take drospernone based products like Yaz and Yasmin experience extreme mood swings and moodiness. Switch to something else and you may be much happier.
Just don't let the doctor insist its you or perhaps an underlying condition....that's always the excuse when drugs cause bad reaction.
ya, what you are experiencing is normal. The lighter periods are meant to help you while being on yaz...mine were only one or two days and very light. The emotional spurts are from the extra estrogen thats being pumped into your body, but yaz actually has one of the lowest amounts so its probably better than being on other pills. I have also tried ortho tri cyc lo and it didn't work well for me either; I was much more unstable and crazy. Plus, you shouldn't gain weight on yaz...other than being hungry at first sometimes, but it is supposed to actually help with that.
Try to be positive, and recognize when you are acting irrational...and though its hard, I have found it helpful to just be aware of it and to be prepared to change the way I act if I'm acting from incorrect emotions.
I am on yaz and i have not started my period and I am all most done with my first pack of pills and i have not missed a day of taking my pills. is that normal or should i talk to my doctor.
This registry is a place to share positive or negative side effects of using Yaz. If you directly experienced a side effect while using Yaz, then we encourage you to enter it here. Please note that entries here are the experiences of individual users, and in no way means that you or anyone else will experience the same side effect, since the same medication affects people in different ways. Please always contact your physician.
