I too had a root canal 6 mos. ago. I told the dentist I was allergic to novacaine but I could take xylocaine or carbocaine. I( guess I just assumed he would be using one of those. I had the root canal and there seemed to be no problem but a little while after I started Expriencing tingling in the temples and weird crawling like sensations. I went to Dr. and blood pressure was up. I have never had high blood pressure in my life. There was numbness on left side of tongue, left side of face. Feel disoriented can't walk rght.just got out of hospital. Am on steroids. i just can't believe that this drug could be used. After face started getting numb I found out septocaine was used on me. How are you? Do you have any more symptoms Pease let me know. Something has to be done abouit getting this drug off the market. Please write back

I just went to the dentist yesterday to have some fillings and the dentist used this medication as well. I've never had a problem with novacaine so not sure why he chose to use this. I became dizzy and felt like I was going to pass out. It took 2 hours sitting in the chair before I could get up....the room was spinning. During those 2 hour I was nauseated and vomiting. I had to have my husband come and get me because I could't drive home.
