wow this is interesting reading, I had the Mirena coil put in 3 years ago. It was agony while it was put in and I had severe cramps for about a week. Then I had terrible acne for about 6 months, now it comes and goes and isn't too bad. Since having the mirena coil in I have gained some weight, gone up a dress size. My periods stopped completely. The past few months I've been thinking about getting it removed.I've had terrible Irritable Bowel Syndrome for the past year with bloating and cramps. Also insomnia, weepyness,irritability, I feel so tired some days but just can't sleep at night, I feel stressed out and depressed. Also I've been getting a lot of headaches and migraines which I thought were just because I'm so tired. Now I'm thinking maybe its because of the coil, but I'm not sure because it wasn't like this at the beginning
