hi there. the constant need to pee is due to the diuretic that is incorporated into the drosperinone. it is similar to spironalactone. the makers incorporated this drug to try to help eliminate monthly water retention and also help you to lose weight.........in my opinion this is the component that really messes with our bodies as it can affect our electrolyte balance and also make us dehydrated. please make sure you drink as much water as you can to counteract this terrible side effect.your electrolyte balance affects your whole body.it may be an idea to take a good multi vit and mineral as calcium/magnesium can also be depleted. if you look up my other posts you will find an address for another very informative website that gives lots of advice on this pill.
Yes - I have had very notable increased urination and it's driving me crazy!! I've been waiting (eagerly) for a change in health insurance with my employer for 2 months so I can get OFF yaz!!! I think this is my 3rd or 4th pack (month) of yaz - I pee all the time, I've been moody, and have now about 2 weeks ago started some painful and very obnoxious leg cramps during the night - pretty much every SINGLE night!!!!!!! I've also started spotting for about 2 weeks a month... so that sorta defeats one of the main points for being on the pill.
I know all pills have side effects... I appreciate that yaz has not made me gain weight or break out in pimples... but I hope someday I can find one that agrees with me all around!
yeah, had the same "problem", been going to the toilet around 4 times per night, stopped as soon as i stopped taking the pill.
