Ed - Your BP is really high and your MD should know about it for your own well being. I know this medicine is garbage - but there are other hypertension meds that are not ACE inhibitors. Evidently the drug company that makes this is pushing hard for the MDs to write Rxs for it.

Doctors want you to take meds that make you very sick right now just in case your condition (like hbp or colesterol) causes problems much later in life!

I'd also rather have an old-fasioned, natural illness of our fore-fathers then these mysterious, distressing, life-ruining side effects that they don't understand, don't know how to diagnose, don't know how to treat, and poo poo as if they weren't real.

I'm pretty sure that they are going to find out that most chronic middle-aged illness is cause by mild but long term nutritional defficiencies and imbalances (especially in the minerals), but the pharma industry isn't researching that because it won't make them any money.
