I am so glad I found this site. I chose Mirena because the copper IUD was giving me heavy bleeding , so this appeared to be the great solution. The bleeding decreased but at the same time other symptoms appeared. After eight months of visiting doctors of all kinds, taking pills for deppression, and going on never-ending diets, I found a doctor whom I have never seen before, and he looked at the facts from a distance. It was him who suggested that Mirena could possibly have something to do with my gain loss (22 pounds) , mood changes, hair loss, incredible bloating of my stomach after eating and tiredness. Reading this experiences only made me more certain to have it removed as soon as possible , hoping to get back to my old self soon.
