I have been taking simvstin for over a year. I have complained to the doctor about foot pain - on the soles of my feet - sometimes it hurts too much to walk. I have muscle pain so they gave me celebrex. I don't sleep. If all of this is time to simvastin - shouldn't we look for alternatives?

I don't know what is happening with the keyboard. My last sentence should read " If all of these symptoms are due to simvastin, isn't it time to relook at simvastin and - shouldn't we look for alternatives?

I take simvastatin and have pains in my feet which during the past year have continued gradually up my legs until it now sometimes affects my hips. This started with what I took to be restless legs but has got more and more painful and keeps me awake most nights.
Sometimes I can hardly bear to put my weight on my feet when I first move after sitting or lying down.

I've been on Simvastatin over a year with no problems. Then the mail order pharmacy changed vendors and the Simvastatin I received was a different color and number stamped on it. I experienced severe headaches, stomach pain, anxiety, insomnia, flushed face and neck, pain in my feet. My tongue became thick and coated gray. An awful taste in my mouth. I stopped taking the pills after taking 4 and contacted the pharmacist who checked the numbers and said it was correct and I should contact my physician. I did! I found out the pills came from Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited in Bachepalli India. Has anyone else had this experience?

I've been taking 80mg simvastatin for about a year now without any noticable side effects. I noticed one pill had a white spot on the end (didn't use it). I pealed off the drugstore labelm & found the Dr. Reddys label underneath.
The FDA tells us we shouldn't buy drugs from Canada because they might not be safe. But the local drugstore dispenses pills from India,Switzerland etc. What's that all about?

That is what I would like to know - why India? The nurse at our cardiologist's office said they have had lots of patients having lots of side effects from statins, including her.

I have been off simvastatin for a year and still have stiff painful muscles in my legs and left bicep. It is difficult for me to walk. My sense of balance is out of wack, too. I was taking Dr. Reddy's 20 mg tablet for about six months.

Is there a class action lawsuit in motion?
