Hello Diana. I'm very interested in what you said here. My doctor says I have chronic bronchitis OR possibly pulmonary fibrosis. She put me on a 2-week dose of prednisone as a diagnostic tool, saying that prednisone will not have a positive effect on pulmonary fibrosis, my breathing. Meaning that if the prednisone does help my breathing, it will mean that I do not have pul. fibrosis. I have also started using Advair. I don't know which drug is helping the most, but I can breathe like I have the lungs of a non-smoking 20 year old. It's wonderful. But you say that prednisone does help your pulmonary fibrosis and your breathing. I need to know if this doctor knows what she's talking about; I should see a pulmonologist very soon. I just moved here to Jacksonville and dont' yet have a doctor. I sincerely hope that you get the lung transplant you need very, very soon. Do you have any input for me? I would appreciate hearing from you, Diana. Thank you and my thoughts are with you. If you read this and want to reply, please email me at londiann@comcast.net. Thanks again. Londi
Dear Diana, God bless you and keep you safe until you get your transplant! Your posting was so touching, and I am glad for your sake that there is such a thing as prednisone to keep you here. You make me ashamed for complaining about all the terrible side effects. Thank you for reminding me of how trivial all our complaints are compared to the needs of people whose lives it saves.. patksalsich
