My physcian just prescribed this medication to me today and after reading all of the comments, I am afraid of taking. I initially started out on Atenolol which was prescribed in an Emergency Room following a panic attack. On most all occassions, my b/p was slightly high following an episode with anxiety. I truly don't think I should have been placed on a b/p med in the first place. However, I was then swithced to Tenoretic and that medication gave me constant palpitations. I contacted my physician and he just today prescribed the Lisinopril. I have been doing just fine with the Atenolol but my physician states that just atenolol alone will not prevent potentail heart attack, stroke. My question is that since all the comments listed on this sight refers to serious side effects, has any one been placed on a b/p med that had less severe and significat effects. Please advise before I take this drug. Thanks!
