FYI I;m not on zoloft and never have been, but I have been on Paxil, Paxil XR, Effexor, Effexor XR and I gained weight with all of them.
Recently I was switched to prozac, all other medications stopped working.
I lost 14 lbs. so far and I haven't been able to get the scale to move in 3 1/2 years. I feel great, have energy and feel like I did when I was a teenager.
I'm 38 have two girls and suffer from severe anxiety. I guess part of the anxiety was coming from depression or causing it, either way - thumbs up for prozac. try switching. Its also known to help with people who have eating disorders. I would include compulsive eating as a disorder also.
I'm very happy and so is my family. GOOD LUCK
i have been on zoloft 150mg for about a year. so far i have lost 50lbs. i am very tired by about 6pm, i never used to get tired this early.
I have been on Zoloft for PPD for a year. I put on about 20-30 lbs with no end in sight, the scale kept going up and up, I started to get really upset about it as I have never been overweight in my life. My lifestyle, activites and food intake did not change, it was crazy. I am weaning off of it right now as it is a drug with lots of side effects in the weaning process. I am oh so hoping some of this weight comes off on its own.
