I have been off Zocor now for almost 6 weeks. I am not sure if my symptoms are from Zocor but they have been slowly, very slowly getting better. I have had numbness in both my legs, groin area and feet. Now there is this crackling feeling in both my feet and the numbness has changed to a feeling that my muscles are tightly flexed all the time. Has anyone else had these effects? I am trying to see if it is the Zocor or may be some other problem I may have.

I've was on the same for about 3 years. Pain started a couple years ago in my knee's , but was told it was age. 4 months ago the pain in my lower back esculated dramatically and severe pain in my shoulder got severe. Tried everything and was again told it was age and bone degeneration. My heart doctor stress tested me since I've had a by-pass and all was well. He then took me off Zocor and told me it happens to some patients. I forgot to mention, I had severe depression and suicide had entered my mind. When I quit the Zocor, the depression went away in less then a week and anger set in for them not stopping it sooner. Then, the pain started easing up in my knees and shoulder. My back has good days and bad, depending on my dailey routine. I don't know if it is completely reversible, but I do know I will not take a staton drug again. Hope you get relief. I have heard the pain comes back in some cases.
