Stop the medication!!, Fatigue cough, soreness, feverishness could all be signs of the flu, however, Coughing is a very real side effect of ACE Inhibitors which lisinopril is. Give yourself two weeks, if you have no more signs or symptoms of what you describe. Talk with your dr. there are many, many other blood pressure medications you can try, lots of them generics. Generally if you develop a cough with one of the ACE inhibitors, you will with others, however. But, you could still try diuretics, beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, etc. Your dr can help choose one that is best for you. Remember, fatigue is often normal when starting any blood pressure medication, you body will need to adjust to the new lower dose and then that symptom should go away
The Lisinopril is for my kidneys. My doctor told me I have protein in my urine and that the Lisinopril is for that. I will call my doctor Monday and let her know that the medication still gives me flu symptoms. Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it. Sleepy
I called my doctor and she said to take only 1/2 of the Lisinpril. I took 1/2 last night and woke up not feeling the fatigue. Let's see how I feel for the rest of the day. Gotta go to work now. Sleepy
