I have been on topamax for one week tomorrow! I will be increasing my dose to 50 mg in the morning *can't sleep when I take it at night* The first day I was sick as a dog no appitite at all, spaced out etc! My Dr. put me on it to loose weigt, im 104 pnds over weight and I suffer from depression. My appetite has shrunk and I have lost 4 pnds in six days. I'm happy with that at this rate i'll be where I need to be at in 6-8 months. :) I recommend that you DRINK DRINK DRINK AND DRINK WATER!!!!! and MAKE YOURSELF EAT! even when your not hungry because you will feel sick if you don't! Learned that the hard way. When I take my pill in the moring it's with 20-30 ounces of water! You have to chug it down. Please people before you say the drug doesn't work follow the instructions which is to "drink plenty of fluids" water.
