I just want to say that I was on YAZ for 1 1/2 years and I had absolutely no problems with it. In fact, YAZ was one of two birth control pills that I was on that didn't make me sick, out of five. Yes, sometimes I have anxiety, I'm depressed, bitchy, etc, but it is because I am Bi-polar and have been diagnosed for years now. I hate to sound insensitive, but maybe some of you ladies are just crazy like me. Also, birth control pills pump hormones into your body, and hello, what do hormones do... they can make us a little irrational, bitchy, depressed, etc. YAZ is not that much different than any other birth control. I just went on Yasmin, because my insurance covers it better than YAZ. I will keep everyone posted, but I'm not too worried.

hello. some people do well on yasmin and yaz and others don't,it was designed to treat pmdd amongst other conditions so maybe that is why it has been a help to you,it has probably evened out your mood swings. i took yasmin for 1.5 years and it turned me into a paranoid, panic attack ridden agoraphobic with numerous heart and health problems,to suggest that i and many other women were already crazy or ill is preposterous! i lived a full and perfectly happy life up until the time i took yasmin and now i am off it i am also back to my old self. i am glad that this pill is working out for you and making you feel better that is what we all hoped it would do for us,i hope yasmin also has the same good effects for you but please don't assume that just because it works for you all the other thousands (and yes there are thousands) are just crazy or imagining it. a peanut is just a peanut to some people but to another person it is enough to kill them.we are all different and so are our bodies and how we react to things. as i said i wish you continued good health in the future,if yasmin turns out to be a nightmare for you then you know where to post your side effects!

soory also meant to add that yasmin and yaz are TOTALLY different to every other birth control pill, that is their marketing gimmick! this pill has a strong diuretic effect that can cause dehydration at a cellular level and can seriously effect your electrolyte balance and your heart rhythm and it also messes with your adrenal glands and can cause hyperkalemia which is a very serious condition indeed....as well as the usuall blood clots.
