On September 28th, I mentioned that I had an appointment to have the Mirena removed and that I would share my experience after removal. Well, I had my Mirena removed last Friday. NO PAIN. I took a Vicaden right before I was to have it removed and I felt no pain. My physician held it up to me as I was on the table and asked if I wanted to keep it. I told her that I did not even know she took it out. As for taking it home......NO WAY, that little thing caused me so much trouble in the past 2 months, I don't want a reminder of all the pain. Went to a concert the same day it was removed as well as the next day. I then went to the L.A. County Fair on this past Sunday. Everything was fine with light bleeding still. When I woke up Monday morning, I was soaked with blood. I cleaned up, put on a tampon and maxi pad then 1 hour later, I was soaked through again. That went on all through the day on Monday. It is now Tuesday morning, I woke up bleeding and went to work. The last time I checked my tampon, there was very little blood. I sit at a desk at work so I don't have to move around so much. I guess I just did too much activity after removal. So I will take this week off from the gym and go home and relax and hopefully the bleeding will stop completely.
