I took this drug before bed one night and within 2 hours I woke up with a swollen throat and tongue. I had to go to the hospital to get a shot of Benadryl for an allergic reaction. I have taken other Robitussin cough syrups before, but this particular brand did not agree with my body. Luckily I did not have hives.
