Hey, there. I, too, am 38 years old and took Bactrim earlier this week for Hemorrhaging Cystitis (mother of all UTI's). I am back to college and one of my professors asked me to drop her class because I fell behind-- the side effects of Bactrim caused me to be nauseous (even when taken with food and lots of water) and I was loopy. My doctor's note did not cover me for it. What PLUS I don't think it's gone away. The bleeding stopped after one day but the pain is still there. What else can we take?
MC
I would like to know if you still have any of the symptoms and if not how long did it take to get over them
I had the same effects and have found this happens with any sulfa drug for me, including all diuretics. I did not eat or sleep the 5 days I was on it.
