I lterally just starting taking Yasmin today. I used to take Tri-phasil, but found it just wasn't keeping my mood in check over the last 6 months, not to mention I was suddenly getting 2 periods a month. So, I stopped taking the pill for a month, and after seeiong ads for YAZ ended up with Yasmine after visiting my Dr. My questions for the ladies with symptoms of anxiety and mood swings: Did you not have these symptoms before starting the pill? If so, are you saying that Yasmin made them worse? Also, I would be curious to find lout what BC pills you NOW use, and how the hormone dose compares to Yasmin. The Tri-phasil I used to take was stronger than Yasmin. If I begin to feel any side effects using Yasmin, I will have to assume that I just need something stronger and will begin with Tri Phasil again.

To answer your question about yasmin and anxiety: I can't speak for the other ladies, but I never had a problem with anxiety before starting yasmin. As for a BC pill, I haven't found any type of BC pills that don't have similar problems listed as side effects. Good Luck!

I had no problems with anxiety panic before taking Yasmin, I had tried other pills before but just didnt really like them although i didnt get anything weird like i did on Yasmin, I just use barrier methods now and be super super careful as i so dont trust using these pills to mess around with your hormones. The scary thing about this pill is i was taking it for several months seemingly without any significant problem and them smack, almost out of the blue all that weird shit hit like it has for many others on this pill. You never think its going to happen to you when u read the side effects etc but these things really arent good to your body and can cause some really serious problems, Ive a hunch this drug will end up banned one day.

I only had mild anxiety while on Yasmin, I just stopped so it's still there but no doubt for me it was Yasmin. I never had any problems at all prior to this... and haven't had any issues with personal or job related problems that would've caused this. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to the warning signs that Yasmin isn't right for me and kept taking it. Now I realize my syptoms are eerily familiar to many on this site. Like the previos posters said I didn't think this could ever happen to me either as I've always been "normal". I also think this drug will be banned one day. Unfortuantely once a drug is FDA approved they are slow to admit their mistakes and remove a drug. Look at how many people wre damaged by Vioxx and Bextra prior to removing them from market.

Only you can decide if it's worth the risk. For me it is not.
