I had been taking lisinopril for a few years with no apparent effects but last summer began waking with extreme fatigue and slight nausea. I also developed spiking blood pressure but that was stopped by adding a beta blocker. I have vivid dreams and often wake feeling worn out from the dreams. The fatigue is severe and accompanied by depression and anxiety. I also wake feeling hot in face and torso and have intolerance for heat.My dose is 40 mg and has controlled my BP until recently when I have had a couple high readings, possibly due to anxiety. I also had a couple of remissions when I felt OK fro a coule weeks, but the symptoms recurred..

I have been taking Lisinopril for 4 or 5 years. Two weeks ago I started having severe panic/anxiety attacks. Since I take 3 different medications I started eliminating them from my daily regimen. When I stopped the Lisinopril the anxiety stopped. I had this same problem several years ago with Lopresssor (another BP medicine). It's hard to explain how the anxiety attacks make you feel. You can't sit down, you have to be on tyhe move at all times, and you actually feel like you are going to die. Most horrible feeling I have ever experienced. I was just wondering why it takes so long for Lisinopril to builkd up in ones system before it effects you?
