Unfortunately you are absolutely right! Last time I tried the singular I thought I was having a heart attack and went to the emergency room at 1:30 in the morning! Not realizing that was what set me off I took another one last night and here I am having the same reaction - not as severe because I know it is not a heart attack and I am not panicking. It cost me $3200 to go to the emergency room - I wonder if I can get whoever makes the stuff to pay my er bill since I don't have medical insurance?
I'm on Singulair as well and I am experiencing the same symptoms. I thought it was just me. The side effects are worse than the symptoms that it is supposed to be relieving. I am also experiencing a funny feeling/taste in my throat and the indigestion has been kicking my butt for the passed week. Maybe I will ask my doctor is there another medication that I can try. I know Singulair isn't the only one out there.
Omigosh...I thought I was the only one who was having there heart jump out of there chest with this med...I switched from Advair 5 days ago (after being on it for 2 years) because of this very problem...now I am worse...! I can't just stop singular because my asthma is so bad...! I thought I was going crazy all of a sudden...thank God I know I am one of many...any feedback would be great...can't call my doctor until monday...great...all weekend like this...good luck to all of you who suffer from asthma....I am feeling helpless right now.
Oh, wow. I've been taking singulair for a couple years off and on, though definitely on for the past 6 months. I've had heart palpitations, headaches, eye-twitches, all over back-muscle pain, bowel/indigestion issues and general tiredness. it's freaked me out so much i've been to a few doctors including a cardiologist. they all found NOTHING. It wasn't until tonight that I thought to suspect singulair. I'm going to go off it and see if it helps, though from the looks of the websites I'm finding- I think it will. It definitely has helped my asthma but it's not worth the side effects. Maybe some people don't have a problem with it....
