Well....an update on my update. Legs aching again. I thought the symptoms were gone. Apparently not. Leg pain and nausea. I am just hoping against hope (and praying!) that these are not permanent. I've been off the Levaquin for 2 weeks+ now after being on it for 12 days. This drug is a nightmare.

seems like you just completed this drug. I'm not an expert at all, but dealing w/bad side affects 2 1/2 years later!! If I were you I would try to drink a lot of water to flush system as much as possible.... it couldn't hurt. Must remove those toxins asap. I also took benedryl to try to counteract some of the reaction. I'm not sure, but I think it might have helped me...if thats possible. I had to go to physical therapy for months to walk, my feet hurt so bad, and wear special pediatric molds in my sneakers.... and PT for my right arm/elbow. I was in so much pain I couldn't lift a coffee cup, make the sign of the cross to pray, or open a refridgerator door... nothing. I've aged 10-15 years, and my memory is terrible! I've lost a good paying job, cause of this and I've also gained weight in my stomach and thighs. When I never gained weight like this before. I have puffy eyes and tire easily along w/ edema. It seems like this toxin just circulates around my system, or is in my tissues and different problems keep popping up. So please take early precautions and do all possible to flush system... I guess thats all we can do? I also read somewhere that levaquin doesn't like Magnesium and doesn't work when Magnesium and other minerals are taken w/this antibotic. I wish I had some answers, but I've been living a nightmare since May-June 2005 when I was given the drug. Best wishes, and sorry to hear so many people are going through terrible sufferings.
