Have been suffering from bad muscle cramps in the back of my calves, Cardiologist trying to find out why. I believe it is from the Lisinopril (40 mg a day). He has taken me off of Vytorin, that hasn't helped. pharmacist believes it is from the Lisinopril, my primary doctor doesn't think so but I am glad that I have my Cardio b/c he will try anything and believes in side affects that meds can cause, since reading all the other posts I can't wait to tell him and hope that is the answer. I miss walking and right now can't go a half mile without severe pain in my leg calves

I am being treated for restless leg syndrome but recently I have been experiencing muscle cramps in my legs, now I notice sometime I have them in my hands too. At first I thought it just might be from my RLS...but when it moved into my hands I knew something was wrong so I started checking on the net and sure enough it said that people taking Lisinopril can experience this. I am scheduled in Jan to have a test done on my legs, now I think before I go to have that done ( not to mention our insurance is not the best) and I put out tons of money, I am going to go to my doctor this week and talk to him about changing my meds. I have been complaining about this for sometime and can not believe that no one has suggested it might be the Lisinopril. I mean after all my doctor does know what meds I am on and when I went to our hospital I gave them my list of meds..how come no one made the connection and I had to go on the net to find out about it...kind of rocks your faith in the medical world!
