I've been taking Lamictal for my bipolar desorder for the last 10 years. I've never had big side effects, but for the last 2 years I gained 40 pounds without reason and it is impossible for me to lose it even with diets. I stoped taking it a week ago I the vivid dreams that I had for the last 10 years desappeared. The only thing is that I feel I have mood swings again. Did you keep taking the Lamictal?? I think is a great medicine and it helped me a lot but I will try to be off it for some time
I started on lamictal in mid August and have suffered from a severe pain disorder since then. The pain is mainly in the muscles of my arms and legs and upper back. I had no idea that it could be caused by the Lamictal as none of my doctors mentioned this as a possible side effect. In the last week I've become so depressed about it, I've been contemplating suicide, thinking this might be a pain that I could never get out from under. I can't thank you enough for your posting. You have given me hope!!
