I had my mirena put in a few months ago, hoping that it would work for me. i was on the depo-provera, on it for too long. being on the depo for too long causes calcium loss in your bones. so i decided to stop it before i''m diagnosed with osteoporosis. Before I read these blogs, i just thought maybe this is all just PMS symptoms. i am having headaches, too often, a little too much hair loss, and there are times i do feel forgetful. I think it's also making my PMS back pain more intense. DAMN. I am now going to get this IUD removed. I think it works differently for everyone. just like any other med/contraceptive. i know alot of women who gained weight on the Depo. but I have never had that problem, I LOVED the Depo.I was also glad to read that someone else had the same side effect as i did putting in the Mirena, immediately after insertion, I felt light headed cold sweats, stomach cramping as if i was going to pass out. I've never felt that way before. Also the actual insert was painful!!!! I hope taking it out is not as painful.
