I have been on lisinopril 20mg for a couple years. Took a more expensive med for 8 years prior to lisinopril. The dry cough has been my most persistent side effect. It's worst in the mornings. The last couple months I have experienced a very unpleasant taste in my mouth. Hard to describe, kind of bitter or acidic. Not all foods are the same, coke & pepsi are the worst. Sometimes the tase is present in my mouth even if I'm not eating at all. I don't know if this is related to lisinopril. It's the only med I take, except for vitamins. Has anyone experienced this?

I have been taking it for 1 month now. I have that same awful taste. The best way I can describe it is a salty taste in my mouth. I asked my doctor today did it have anything to do with Lisinopril. He didn't seem to think so. It is an awful taste. I didn't experience this until I started taking Lisinopril.

Just recently upgraded from 10mg to 20mg of Lisinopril per my doctors orders. Definately have the cough in the morning...bad. I have also become very light headed and even fainted if I skip a dose or don't drink enough water. It also tends to make me fuzzy. Was on Topril first but it was not conducive to the life style of a young married man. I want to be around for my son and wife but having a hard time dealing with the side effects.
