Since I started taking Lisinopril, my BP has increased for about 130/80 to 182/94. This has occured in just about 9 days of use. My doctor advised me to increase dosage from 20 mg to 40 mg which I did 3 days ago. I was previously on Triamt./HCTZ 37.5/25 mg. This controlled my BP but I had many side affects including irregular heartbeat. I am getting no side affects from Lisinopril except for the dry cough but it obviously does not work for me. I will contact my doctor Monday to see if there is another med I can take which wil control my BP. Oh yeah - I also gained about 8 pounds. What a mess!

Hi

I just experienced the same effect of increased bp. I started on 2.5mg dosage 2 weeks ago. Previously bp was 135-140/70-75 Yesterday and today was over 170/90 - 160/80!!! Dr. said to increase dosage from 2.5 to 10mg /day. I think not until I see him again next week.

Paul
