My son was experiencing the same things. He has allergy-induced asthma. His worst times of the year are from Feb through May and Sept - Oct. My pediatrician had sent us to the ENT and he wanted to remove his tonsils & adnoids. Thankfully, my son had another illness and we went back to the pediatric clinic for that and the pediatrician that was standing in for our regular one noticed a pattern in the times of year and the types of symptoms. She told us to take him to an allergist for allergy testing and he would have his tonsils when he was 90 yrs old and wouldn't be back in her office again. That was 1 1/2 years ago. She was right. We went to OKC for allergy testing and it ended up that the ONLY 2 things he wasn't allergic to were pine trees and dogs!! They started him on weekly allergy shots and changed him from zyrtec and singular to Clarinex. We only take the Clarinex now when the mold counts and pollen counts are at high levels. ( which you can tell as thats when he starts getting sneezy and stuffy). In the last year and a half, my child has not been sick since!!! The first time in 5 years!!! So my suggestion is try seeking an allergy clinic and get the child tested. It has been a God send for us!!!
