one of the side effects from any hormonal contraceptive i.e. Nuvaring, any oral pills is gallbladder disease. Another common one is developing an Adenoma. An Adenoma is a growth (usually benign) on your liver (or other abdominal organs) that is caused by the excess of the female hormones in birth control pills. One you stop taking them, the growth usually recedes back into the organ and causes no problems. Prolonged exposure to said hormones can cause more problems and can cause the Adenoma to grow larger and larger and put pressure on regualr organs as well as reproductive ones.
I know this because it happened to me. I can no longer take any form birth control. I also had gall stones and had to have my gallbladder removed 2 years ago. Be careful and talk with a doctor.
