Oh my goodness!!! I am SO glad I found this site. I got my Mirena...

I agree you should see a doctor, but I just had one, and I am totally fine. I am 21 and the worse I have been getting is really bad cramps and spotting, WHICH IS NORMAL for the first three months...maybe you are having an allergic reaction or maybe its something else that is bothering you...the whole itchy booby thing could be a change of product you are using , becuase that happened to me when I washed my bras with a new detergent....I think you are a bit over reacting...the reason I got the Mirena IUD was becuase of the low side effects...and whatnot..there are a few side effects in the beginning...but yea..check with your doc...you could be going through some hormonal change. Thank you for your thoughts. I too, got the Mirena for its purported low side effects and effectiveness and regret not doing more thorough research. I am having mine removed tomorrow if my doc gets an opening.
I figure even if the Mirena is NOT the cause of my symptoms, it is one thing that I can control and a very good starting point to sorting my body out.

I didnt even link my hands to the Mirena, but I have had carpel tunnel syndrome symptoms too.I ve read that people are having joint pain, but until I read your blog on the hands I didnt relate.I never had such a problem! I cant even vaccume without my hands hurting.My husband doesnt even want me to "mess around" with him,he is scared that Im screwing up my hands because they start to hurt almost immediately afterwards.
