I agree with sophia06. I think that all women are different and that's why we have sooo many different birth control pills out there that we can choose from and you just have to find the best one that fits you. This is my first time taking this birth control. Since I was 16 I was taking Orthro Novum. Never had an issue with it. I think I might've gained 5 pounds but that's about it. I'm 27 now and decided to take a different brand cuz I'd been off BC pills for about 2 years. So far I've noticed the weight gain and the spotting. I read about the spotting and my doctor said that's normal with any BC pill you take so that it can get used to your body chemistry. But I was hoping to not get the weight gain. But I'm used to it. The doctor did tell me to make sure I took my pill at the same time everyday no more than 30 minutes before or after the time. She was really ademate about that so I'm trying to stick to that so I won't have any issues. I'm on my second pack now. Spotting was less frequent on this pack. So right now I am ok with it.
Yeah, I asked my doc about that EXACT same thing(weight gain) and he said it's not the pill that make you put the food in your mouth.
