Sorry to hear that this stuff got you too. I'm on my third year of dealing with this and to be honest there is very little information floating around about any sort of remedy.
I see where some have taken certain supplements, but to be honest I think only time will tell if those supplements worked for them. They may feel better now, but I think it's well settled that the effects of this stuff can hit you months or even years later. (just lost the feeling in parts of my hands and upper thighs -- 3 years after taking this stuff.)
I asked my cousin (an RN) what she knew about levaquin and both of us were shocked to learn that doctors have very little if any information about these toxic reactions. Seems as though the drug companies that make this stuff don't want to own up to what it does to people.
I am currently trying to get an answer from the Mayo clinic to see if they have any information about these adverse reactions. Surely somebody somewhere is studying this stuff...
I have started my own new forum http://fluoroquinolones.net/index.php
that deals with Fluoroquinolones and I'm trying to collect as much info as I can to see if there is anyway we can get some help with this.
wishing you the best, Kerry
hope you feel better I started taking Levaquin about 2 weeks ago and I
stopped and left the last 2 pills. I have a kidney infection. I could not
sleep and started having very bad pains in my legs, going down to my feet.
It just started after I was on it for one day, but I continued to take it cause I was on cipro before finished it and the infection came right back. It's been
almost a week since I've been off Lev. and still I can't sleep I have even worse leg pain than when it started, especially when I walk. I pray this goes away!
