The cure is worse than the disease is true for me with Yasmine. I started because of heavy periods, very painful ovulation, and cysts on my overies. Stop the periods sounded better than a hysterectomy. My gall bladder has been very sore, and causing me the classic symptoms of gall stones or gall bladder disease. The ultrasounds, MRI's and blood tests are normal, the pain is always there, and very strong at night. I have seen at total of 6 doctors before someone said," birth control pills cause this type of pain." I have quit Yasmin but true to the British Columbia health system it will take another month before I can see my GYN. All women please check all the side effects of birth control pills, it seems so common, we take for granted that it won't be us that has the problem. Just for all you nay sayers out there, I already have a low fat diet, I am 5' 3" and 130lbs.

Thanks for your information. I thought that I was going crazy! I have severe PMDD and all of the anti-depressants that the doctor gave me gave me weird headaches in my the top of my head. My doctor just now gave me a three-month supply of Yaz samples. I started taking them yesterday and had weird feelings. I started crying almost immediatly after swallowing the pill. Then, I fell into a deep, strange sleep. Last night, I felt as if my best friend was my worst enemy, crying and thinking that she is "out to get me". Because the pill made me sleepy, I had thought that I would wait until tonight to take the next one. But, I went ahead and took one this morning. Literally, the moment I swallowed it I started tearing up about something I saw on tv that was not even sad !!! I did not get sleepy again (or, not so far). The Yaz may have been interacting with some other medicine that I am taking or even my vitamins (I did not take my vitamins so far today). I got online and started researching Yaz side effects blogs. I found your comments, along with some other (similar) comments on other blogs. I do not know if I will be taking any more of this pill. Thanks so much!
