I've had two Procrit injections and noticed that I've been feeling dizzy, shortness of breath, increased heart rate, and chest pains since I've gotten them. I don't like feeling this way! I'm not going to take them anymore! I'm sure there are some foods and/or vitamin supplements that can help increase my blood count.

My husband had "allergic" reaction of sort to procrit - he would lay in bed in severe pain for three days after the shots. It took more out of him than benefitted him and he was ready to quit taking it as well. His doctor had never seen this before so reported it to the manufacturer and FDA. The company who makes it told the doctor that a bad "allergic" reaction does happen to about every 1/1000 people. Since he needed the procrit, they solved this issue by giving him much smaller doses more times a week instead of one big dose once a week. Ask your doctor about smaller dosages more often. Hope it helps!
